SeventhSlate is founded and led by Lara Liddell, a Denver-based filmmaker who built the studio around a single discipline: the customer-story interview. After years of telling brand and documentary stories, Lara kept noticing the same thing — the most powerful moment in any film was never the polished pitch. It was a real customer, leaning in, saying the true thing in their own words.
So she built a studio to do only that. Lara personally leads the discovery conversations and the interviews, because drawing out an honest story is a craft — knowing which question to ask, and when to stay quiet. That focus is what lets a first cut land in 48 hours and still feel like you.
When she isn't on a shoot, Lara is in the edit bay hunting for the one line that sells — the sentence a prospect can't argue with.
"We don't make ads. We make the moment a customer forgets the camera and tells the truth — and then we protect that moment all the way to the final cut."
SeventhSlate is intentionally small. Lara runs every project end to end, and for each shoot she brings in a hand-picked crew from a network of local Colorado videographers, camera operators, and sound pros she's worked with for years. That model is the point: you get a boutique studio's care and a single point of contact, with a crew scaled to exactly what your story needs — no bloated production house, no rotating strangers. Because the crew is local to the Front Range, we film in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs without out-of-town travel fees.
